Work Authorization

Work authorization in the U.S. comes in various forms: Employment Authorization Documents (EADs) for certain non-immigrant categories, work-authorized visas like H-1B and L-1, and automatic work authorization for permanent residents. Some statuses, like F-1 students, may apply for OPT or CPT work authorization. Asylum applicants can apply for work authorization 150 days after filing. Each category has specific eligibility requirements and application procedures.
